At KC Custom Hardwoods we salvage urban trees and turn the lumber into live edge tables. We've started cutting and selling pen blanks from our off-cuts as a way to continue breathing life into our urban trees and saving them from the mulch pile.
Each blank we sell was once part of a live edge slab that has been milled, air-dried for around 12 months, then kiln-dried to below 8% moisture content.
